Mark Brown

This year’s Life Member Award is being presented to a truly remarkable individual.

This award is reserved for those whose service and dedication to our association go far beyond expectation, and this recipient exemplifies that commitment in every way.

For more than 20 years, he has been a valued member of our Board of Directors. His leadership was especially evident during his term as Chairman from 2016 to 2017, where his vision and steady hand guided us through important decisions that shaped our future.

As Treasurer, his sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail ensured the continued financial strength of our association.

But perhaps his most extraordinary contribution came during one of our most difficult times—when our General Manager, Robert Martel, suddenly passed away in 2012. At that moment of uncertainty, he stepped forward without hesitation, volunteering his time and working daily for several months until a new General Manager could be found. He did this not for recognition, but out of genuine care for this association and its people.

This is the kind of quiet, selfless leadership that inspires trust, respect, and admiration.
