Applications for the Robert (Bob) Martel Memorial Scholarship, named in honour of past General Manager Bob Martel, are now being accepted.

The 2026 application will be award to two candidates;

$4,000 for the top candidate
$1,000 for the runner up candidate

Application Conditions:

1. All applicants must be a child or grandchild of a local employee or owner of an Ordinary Member Firm of MCA Ottawa.
2. The local Ordinary Member Firm must sponsor the application and be a member in good standing of MCA Ottawa for one year.
3. Applicants must be a graduate from high school and registered as a full-time post-secondary student in a College or University of his/her choice.
4. Applicants must demonstrate adequate academic standing.
5. Applicants must include two (2) non-family member letters of reference with full contact information.
6. Applicants have demonstrated community commitment and leadership through involvement in extra-curricular or community activities.
7. Applicants must provide a summary of personal and professional goals.
8. Preference may be given to candidates whose education path may benefit the mechanical contracting industry.
