Remembering Denis Séguin
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Denis Séguin on January 8, 2026, at the age of 69.
Denis Séguin joined the MCA Ottawa Board of Directors as the owner of a long-time member firm that joined the MCA Ottawa in 1980.
His contributions to the industry and to MCA Ottawa are many:
- In March 2006, he joined the MCA Ottawa Board of Directors
- In 2017-2018, he held the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors.
- During his time on the Board, he spent many years as a contractor representative on the Joint Training Committee for the piping side.
- He also served on the piping negotiations committee for many years. Which, as many of you know, this is a difficult and challenging position.
- In 2019, he resigned from the Board and sold his company. He has been enjoying retirement ever since.
For his many years of service and contribution to MCA Ottawa, Denis was presented a Life Membership award at our 2023 All Members Meeting.
