With family by his side, Stan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the age of 78. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy. Stan was the loving father of David (Karen) and Kevin (Lynn). He will be greatly missed by his 7 grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Christopher, Katelyn, Andrew, Isabella and Benjamin. Stan will be missed dearly by his adoring partner, Margaret Gorman.

Stan was a proud member of sheet metal Local 47 for nearly 60 years. In 1977, Stan founded Mastron Mechanical. Through hard work and determination, his company grew for 46 years. Throughout his career, Stan was well-respected for his insight, talent and success. His larger than life laugh and personality will be missed by many who worked with him. Beyond work, Stan was passionate about giving back to the community. Over the years, he organized fundraisers for the old Ottawa Rough Riders, gathered donations for the Kidney Foundation and donated to various other charities through his annual golf tournament.

Stan also had a passion for the Ottawa Senators and was a season ticket holder from their first year back. He loved curling and watching his grandkids play in the pool as well as spending time hanging out with Robbie, his faithful Cocker Spaniel. Stan was social, kind and full of character. He loved sharing stories and laughter, and his quick wit and generous heart made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

The family wishes to acknowledge the kindness and excellent care provided by the compassionate nurses of ward D3 and the Palliative Care Team at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 2:30pm-4:30pm and from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Tuesday August 26, 2025 at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road.
